          Due to unforeseen circumstances, our regular newsletter will not be published this month.

The Holidays are approaching quickly and we would like to remind everyone of the events at the Post in December. We would like to wish everyone a very Happy and Joyous Holiday Season.

 

BREAKFAST WITH SANTA

Saturday December 8, 2001

9am —12 noon

 MENU: Pancakes, scrambled eggs, home fries, bacon or sausage, with choice of orange juice, tomato juice, milk or coffee. Adults: $3.00. Kids (under age 10): $2.00

Children of all ages welcome. The Aux. will have a Bake sale and Bazaar table with items for all ages. Proceeds benefit community projects.

Share the spirit of Christmas. Permit the child to donate canned food or paper goods for needy families. Santa will have a special container for all donations.

 

Children’s Christmas Party

Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001 2:00pm

                     Entertainment and presents for all children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren up to age 8. Child must be present to receive gift. REGISTRATION DEADLINE is Dec. 10, 2001. (NO EXCEPTIONS). Form must be completed. Forms are available at the Post. No telephone requests will be honored. Fire Safety Regulations restrict us to entertaining only 100 children and their parents or grandparents only. Registration will be approved on a first received basis. Each family will be notified when registration is approved. Tickets will be issued at the door only.

            Adults will be charged for food/soda. No tables will be held pending the arrival of others. No smoking and no alcoholic beverages.

            If you can furnish baked goodies, please contact the Auxiliary.

 

Adult Christmas Party

             Party will be from 6-8 pm at the Post on Dec. 24th. Happy hour prices will be in effect. Join us for some fun and celebration. Please bring a covered dish.

 

New Year’s Eve Gala House Party

                   The Party will be held from 8 pm - 2 am and will be open to the front and back bars with ticket purchase. No covered dishes please.

            Cocktail Hour will be from 8-9 with cheese and veggie trays. Our main menu will include steamed shrimp and beef stroganoff from 9-11 pm. Open bar will be from 8 pm -1am. Open bar will include rail drinks, wine, draft beer and fountain sodas. Specialty drinks will be extra. No BYOB.

            A continental breakfast will be served from 1-2 am. There will be party favors and for midnight, champagne will be served.

            Music will be provided by “Vintage” from 9 pm – 2 am.

            Tickets are now on sale at the Lounge. Prices are: $40.00 for single and $70.00 for a couple. Come down and join us as we ring in the New Year!

 

Proposed Constitution and Bylaws Changes

             The Bylaws Committee has proposed changes to the Post bylaws.

            The proposed changes will be read at the regular General membership meeting to be held on Dec.13, 2001. Copies of the current bylaws and copies of the proposed changes will be passed out at the meeting.

            The proposed changes will be voted on at the regular General membership meeting to be held on Jan. 10, 2002.

             All interested members should try to attend these meetings.
